Rachel and I became friends because, when I first met her I said, “we are going to be good friends.” There was something about her that made me want to know her, and her friendship has been something that I have truly cherished the past 10 years. I met Ryan before Rachel did…we had a serendipitous meeting at my favorite coffee shop in Chico where we discussed books and life, so when Rachel mentioned this new guy she was seeing, and it was Ryan, I knew it would be good. They are good for each other, and now they are parents! Before their darling Brooke was born, I got to document a few moments with them together when they took a trip here to the bay to visit from Chico and get out of the August heat! I love them both so much, and I know that they will be amazing parents!
