The American River is home. I grew up at this river. I played in the water, rafted its rapids, and swam through its currents. When my best friend from childhood was pregnant, it felt only natural to celebrate her pregnancy by doing her maternity session at the river.
These images represent so much love and joy. Photographing this session was like photographing a piece of my heart. Although photographing a friend might seem like it is a different experience than any other session, it really isn’t. I try to create that natural rhythm of relaxed fun with each photography client I encounter. Your session should bring out your personality, your joy, your excitement, and your love. And the images that we create should evoke those feelings every time you look at them.
When I look at these images, I hear the laughter, feel the giddiness, and the love between this beautiful mama, my best friend, and her amazing husband. And that is what I hope you feel too!
