Why you should book an in-home maternity session!
You can absolutely capture meaningful photos anywhere, but there is something incredibly special about photos an in-home maternity session. Don’t get me wrong…the beach at sunset has a certain feel, but when you sit in your nursery caressing that baby bump that will soon be a new little human in the world, when you watch your new little babe resting sweetly in your arms newly home from the hospital, it just hits different, and I want to capture every loving moment in your home.
In-home sessions are the best.
Here’s what I am sure some of you are thinking…”but I live in a nondescript apartment”, or “it’s sooo tiny, how could it look good?” or “we don’t even have a nursery”, or “it’s not instagram-worthy”. Well let me try to assuage your fears, because I think in-home sessions are the absolute best!
Your home may be tiny, or nondescript, or not your version of instagram-worthy…but it’s your home. It is where you have lived through a pandemic, it is where you are creating memories, where you are bringing your baby home for the first time, so no matter if you are an interior designer, or buy your home-decor from the $1 section at target (I’ve been there!) This in-home maternity session was shot in a 2 bedroom apartment in the Bay Area on a foggy cold day. We used two rooms with the best light, turned off all over-head lights and only used what was naturally coming through the windows. It was so magical! And soooo much fun! Just look at the joy on their faces! Plus I got to capture some really sweet pieces of their story and that made it even more special!
