SF Bay Area Newborn Session

As a Bay Area newborn photographer, I have found that photographing newborn sessions with siblings can be a lot fun!

Welcoming a new being into an already established family dynamic comes with some ups and downs. When the older sibling is a toddler, you may also be dealing with the range of emotions that come with toddlerdom. However, it is my job as your photographer to help calm those nerves, and make everything easy and relaxed.

Making your session relaxed

That is why I work with you to make your newborn session with siblings as relaxed and fun as possible. I operate on toddler time and baby time. This means we will move quickly to get a shot, and other times means that I will step outside or take a break. I want your the family rhythm to be in sync without me clicking my camera in your face.

Your newborn session doesn’t come with a time limit, we will work as short or as long as is needed to capture the moments that are special for your family. I will always do my best to capture some moments of your new family together, and smiles. But, I will also let you know that it may not happen like that, and that is OK.

What I will promise is that I will capture your family as it is, and I will help create moments of joy throughout our time together!

One way that I will help you create those moments is let the sibling lead a little bit. I do this in my family sessions too. If they are super into books, or legos, or in the case of this little guy…socks…then we go with that. What makes them happy or excited will help direct our time together and makes it easier on you as parents!

This session was a blast, and when the socks came out, the mood shifted to playfulness and fun!
