I work with you to make your newborn session with siblings as relaxed and fun as possible. I operate on toddler time and baby time, which sometimes means we will move quickly to get a shot, and other times means that I will step outside or take a break so that the rhythm of the family can get back in sync without me clicking my camera in your face.
This maternity session was almost as epic as their wedding day! It turned out to be super foggy, cold, and windy day up in the Marin Headlands, but they didn’t let that stop them from being amazingly gorgeous. I am in love with their images from this day!
Family sessions are always fluid, I follow the lead of the kids and try to have a mix of movement and quiet still moments. We also already have rapport since we have worked together before, and that helps to make everyone feel a bit more comfortable!
I always encourage kids to move a lot during sessions, running and jumping will definitely happen. If your kid wants to be active, it’s all good! Check out this post to see the spunky little girl in the most amazing wonder woman poses!
This adorable little family wanted to document their daughter’s six month milestone! She started smiling right off the bat, and my heart skipped a beat. I fell in love with this joyful little girl as we wandered the gardens. She even let us get a few of Mom and Dad by themselves! This will be one of the locations for my Family Sessions this fall too! I can’t wait to create more magic here…who wants to join me in fairyland?
You can absolutely capture meaningful photos anywhere, but there is something incredibly special about photos that are captured in your home. Don’t get me wrong…the beach at sunset has a certain feel, but when you sit in your nursery caressing that baby bump that will soon be a new little human in the world, when you watch your new little babe resting sweetly in your arms newly home from the hospital, it just hits different, and I want to capture every loving moment in your home.
What I love about family maternity sessions is that they are a beautiful way to document your growing family, and what you look like as a family before you introduce a new little being into the mix.
